Following the footsteps of pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela on a scooter

3. 6. 2024 | Vendula Kosíková

Although, like a true pilgrim, he began his journey on the doorstep of his home, going from church to church on his way to Santiago, the spiritual aspect of the journey was not his main motivation. His motivation was the desire to discover foreign countries, cultures, other ways of life and this time also a new way of travelling.

On a Scooter around Africa. Take a look at the beautiful photographs and a documentary by Marek Jelinek

28. 2. 2022 | Vendula Kosíková

This was meant to be another scootering expedition across all of Africa. From Cape Town to Cairo, from penguins to pyramids, a full 12,700 km. But due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus, the journey of photographer and traveller Marek Jelinek and his girlfriend Dominika Trojanova ended prematurely. But even the “little” was worth it.

La Trottineuse. Diary Notes from a World Tour by Scooter. Part 4.

2. 10. 2019 | Redakce

A few days ago I was finally granted 10 months visa, which means I will be able to explore the country-continent for a long time. I immediately left the highway to head into the heart of the Pilbara; the sea of granite is growing, the earth exhumes its carmine tones, million years old mounts profiles change throughout the day in the sunshine...Wild hypnosis!

Three and half years of kicking and living on the Road throughout Eurasia had led Blandine to the gates of Australia. She had spent the last months running against the clock on main roads across burning, humid and overpopulated South East Asia, circumstances which she found were not allowing for a proper experiment of the simple good life. Leaf through her travel log with us and take a look at how she is doing on remote Australian trails.

Marek and the Good Scooter. On a scooter in Asia

18. 12. 2018 | Vendula Kosíková

The traveler Marek Jelínek made a journey from New Delhi to Malaysia on a scooter last year to meet the world and support a project for educating Bangladeshi slum children at the same time. He crossed nine states, ascended thousands of meters to Annapurnas, sustained week-long rains in the Laos monsoon, and after seven months successfully ended his pilgrimage up in Singapore.

Three years have passed since she rode her first mile on the scooter. About 1095 days and 43,588 kilometres later, Blandine is somewhere in Thailand, behind her the snowy saddles of Pamir, the desiccating Taklamakan desert of China, the Tibetan plateau and the rich rainforests of Laos and Vietnam.

We Were There. Giro d'Italia on Scooters.

Rock solid determination, admirable performances and immense love for the footbike. Without it, a bunch of six Czechs and one Finn would barely overcome all the steep climbs that are characteristic of the Giro d'Italia bicycle race. We went through a part of the eleventh stage together with them, so we know what it is.

They Want to Know South America from a Scooter Footstep

7. 10. 2016 | Vendula Kosíková

A remarkable endurance test lies ahead of the Yedoo Trexx scooter. Along with it, seven young people who decided to ride the countries of Central and South America by scooters will perform the demanding test as well. 11,000 kilometers, 15 countries, 40 degrees temperature differences, forgotten routes and the Pan-American Highway, all without supporting stuff and GPS lie ahead of them.

It´s already her second holiday which the teacher Anna Šafářová spends on a scooter. Last year she went along the Elbe river from its source to the sea. This year it has been Scotland where she fled away from the tropical temperatures that prevailed over the central Europe in July. She completed both routes long over 2,500 km on prototypes of road scooter Wolfer.

Scandinavia Grabs You And Won’t Let Go

15. 12. 2014 | Vendula Kosíková

Scandinavia is a charming place: once it grabs you, it doesn’t let go. Snared once by its wild beauty, Zdenek Valenta came back a year later to taste its magical mix of exuberant nature and friendly natives. This time he took along his girlfriend, Jana. Riding a Yedoo scooter and a unique cart called a cruelter they together conquered 1550 kilometres across Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Eight Days In Hell Called “1,000 Miles Adventure”

25. 8. 2014 | Jan Marx

Great adventures give rise to experiences as gently as spring follows winter. With my beloved wife we were discussing the ideas for a Christmas present for my brother, who had already experienced and tried many adventures. In the end, I came up with an innovative idea and my brother found a Yedoo City scooter under the Christmas tree. Nothing seemed suspicious, as I say.

The Badlands. A Journey Beyond The Frontiers Of The Real World

9. 12. 2013 | Vendula Kosíková

David Ceccarelli and his co-adventurer who accompanies him on his journeys - Andrea Gesmundo – chose the remote region of the Canadian Badlands as another scooter expedition destination. The arid, parched and dreary territory does not evoke the idea of the Canadian landscape boasting endless forests, Rocky Mountains and breathtaking waterfalls. Average tourists rarely visit the Badlands.
