After years of focusing mainly on balance bikes and scooters, we are returning with a modern line of children’s bikes: Koolo 16 and 20. In 2026, the range will expand to include a 14-inch model for the youngest riders and later also Koolo 24. Designed for the Joy of Riding
You may remember the Pidapi kids’ bikes we produced some fifteen years ago. Today, our children’s bikes return in an entirely new form – lighter, stronger and smarter. We’ve put all our development experience into Koolo to meet the highest expectations of young riders and their parents alike.
Koolo was created for all kids who want more – more challenges, more space, more independence – to find out how far they can go when they take control of their own ride and direction.
Whether they’re speeding on the flat, tackling hills, cornering or trying tricks, they can rely on Koolo – it’s light, easy to handle and tough enough to withstand the wildest children’s adventures.
A Lightweight Aluminum Frame That Can Handle It All
At the heart of Koolo is a light and durable aluminum frame. To shed even more weight, the handlebars, stem, hubs and brake levers are aluminum too.
Thanks to its low weight, Koolo is easy to control, carry, and manage – even for children who are just starting to collect their first cycling experiences.

Perfectly Tuned Geometry
The extended wheelbase helps beginners keep their balance and also gives riders plenty of room for comfortable riding.

Optimal Gear Ratio
For all models, we carefully considered the ideal gear ratio to make riding efficient and smooth, according to the size and age of the children.
Koolo 16 features a 1.5 gear ratio, enabling effortless pedaling without unnecessary strain. Kids can enjoy a lively ride on the flat and smoothly conquer smaller hills even without gears.
Koolo 20, designed for older children, comes with a Shimano derailleur with 7 speeds and an intuitive twist shifter. No hassle, just pure riding fun.
Cranks of the Right Length
Smooth riding is also supported by quality crank arms with an optimal length tailored to the age of young riders and their pedaling style.
Non-slip Pedals and Reflective Details
Durable plastic non-slip pedals keep feet in place. Their wider contact surface provides solid support and ensures efficient power transfer – even in the wet or mud.
For added safety, the pedals feature reflectors on both sides, and wheels, handlebars and seatpost are also equipped with reflective elements to keep kids visible even at dusk.
Slimmer Chain Guard
Koolo 16, designed for younger children, comes with a slimmer link-type chain guard that keeps riding safe without adding bulk or extra weight. It also features an aluminum chain tensioner with an integrated screw for easy adjustment and servicing.
Ergonomic Saddle
A soft, ergonomic saddle gives kids maximum comfort and lets them put full power into their pedaling.
As they grow, the quick-release seat clamp allows the saddle to be adjusted easily and tool-free – just click, snap and off they go.
Reliable Brakes and Ergonomic Levers
Reliable Tektro V-brakes respond promptly and brake smoothly and safely.
The re-geared aluminum brake levers fit kids’ hands perfectly. Lever reach can be adjusted to suit every age and hand size, so children can control their brakes confidently and with ease.
Smart Details for Greater Safety and Comfort
We’ve thought of every detail: brake cables are routed inside the frame, and instead of protruding axle nuts we’ve used flat screws – no unnecessary sticking-out parts, just smooth lines and a clean look.
Tested by Kids, Approved by Standards
Safety comes first. Koolo was tested by the strictest riders – our own kids – and then by accredited test labs. The 16-inch model meets the international kids’ bike standard ISO 8098, while the 20-inch model complies with ISO 4210-2. Parents can rest easy, and kids can ride full throttle. Ride Yedoo.
